We arrived in the town of North Platte, Nebraska, population 30,000 yesterday at sunset. Beautiful clear skies greeted us and they have not let up overnight.
We are getting some final supplies now, I am going to buy a Special Edition North Platte Eclipse T-shirt to replace a golf shirt that a leaky coffee cup spilled all over, going to by a waterproof tarp to cover my telescope mount after I align it on true north tonight. We will be camping on the prairie, 30 km north of here tonight.
Skies are totally clear this morning, but thunderstorms tend to accumulate by evening.
So today we buy the T-shirt; Tomorrow we’ll have “BEEN THERE, DONE THAT” too!
